reverse what 10 years ago was a downward trend in global immunisation rates to the extent that, in 2008, a record 106 million children were vaccinated.
change the way that vaccine manufacturers think about developing world markets by raising significant additional new resources for immunisation and focusing on the world's poorest countries
reduce the delay that has historically characterised new vaccine introduction in low-income countries
avert over five million future deaths in one decade with the potential to double that number in the next five years
draw on the strengths of GAVI's unique public-private partnership to find new ways of approaching development financing and programming
