Immunisation services support
As at January 2009, 62 countries of the 72 countries currently eligible for GAVI support were approved for this type of GAVI support which countries can use as they choose to improve immunisation performance.GAVI provides ISS funding in two phases: an investment phase and a reward phase.

Note: Between 2000 and 2005, 75 countries were eligible for GAVI support. In 2006, the list was updated according to the eligibility criteria: Albania, China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Turkmenistan were no longer eligible; Kiribati became eligible, making a total of 72 countries eligible for support from 2006.
