Donor contributions & commitments

Donors support GAVI in three ways:

  • direct contributions and commitments to GAVI, including received contributions and publically announced and confirmed commitments.
  • long-term pledges to the International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm), a mechanism which converts the commitments into immediately available cash resources by issuing bonds on the capital markets.
  • long-term pledges to the Advance Market Commitment (AMC) for pneumococcal disease, a mechanism which accelerates the development and manufacture of vaccines for developing countries at affordable prices.

Learn more about each donor’s support below. The information is current as of 30 June 2011. All direct contributions received by GAVI from 2000 to 2010 are converted to US dollars on a cash basis (date of contribution). Direct contributions committed for 2011 through 2019 are converted to US dollars based on 10 June 2011 exchange rates unless otherwise indicated.
